CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring System)

The CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) requires companies and other entities whose production/operation processes emit gases and particulates of various controlled species, to accurately and continuously track these emissions for reporting to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other regulatory bodies.

The maintenance and certification of systems built for the task of this continuous gas/particulate analysis and tracking are nominally termed Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems.
